NIKE ORANGE HOUSTON ASTROS ALTERNATE BASEBALL JERSEY

Orange Nike Houston Astros baseball jersey, alternate version of the official uniform. Lightweight fabric, full button-front placket and the team crest on the chest.

The Astros are the team from Space City. Founded in 1962, they changed their name three years later to tie in with the NASA mission control center that had been set up in Houston, and ever since their whole visual identity has revolved around that idea: the star, the orbit and the bold orange they've carried since the seventies. It's one of the most pop iconographies in MLB, and that's why it works outside of baseball.

Orange is the color of the alternate jersey, the one the team wears when it's neither the home nor the away uniform. As streetwear it's a piece that takes over: the smart move is to keep the rest in black, white or denim and not add any more color to the outfit.
